KIMI celebrated the 75th anniversary of India's independence on 15th August 2021 in a befitting manner. The programme started with flag hoisting ceremony by Sri Samiran Barua, principal, VKV (NEEPCO) Kimi. Afterwards, he shared the significance of the occasion where he highlighted on the Theme of 75th Independence day which is, “Nation First, Always First” and also appealing to their people and urging them to take pride to being an Indian. He further said some important points on “Atma-Nirbhar Bharat” and also emphasized the role of youth as the true wealth of country. Next, all the teaching staff, non-teaching staff and few family members of VKV staff presented a beautiful patriotic song. Apart from these, we conducted different and vibrant programmes for the students of all classes through online mode  two beautiful patriotic group songs were presented by all teaching staff as a part of sankalpa. At 4.30 p.m flag retreat ceremony was held in the presence of all the respective staffs of the school. After that, a map of India was portrayed with lightening of diyas. All the staff gathered around it to take 'sankalpa ' and sung ‘Desh Humein Deta Hai Sab Kuch’. JAI HIND , JAI BHARAT
