Culture, tradition and custom play an important role for a civilization and character of its citizens and society. It helps in striking the balance with Mother Nature, conservation of natural resources and respecting each other.

On the date of 6th July VKV, Joram had organized a local puja and invited a local priest named Sri Likha Takar to ensure harmony, prosperity and well-being of the students and staffs in the Campus of VKV, Joram. The puja started at 10 am with the felicitation to the priest with a ‘fulam gamucha’ by Principal Sir. Principal sir briefly explained about the role of Kendra in propagating the tradition and culture of Arunachal Pradesh since it started its schools to aware the students about its own culture and tradition  and how to hold it in life. On the day of the puja, the priest made a special structure called ‘Yugang’ is made of bamboo fibre beautiful designed and kept at a particular place where the priest chanted mantras calling on all the natural deities. The priest explained the puja by saying that the god of nature is nothing but the guard and witness of nature and it is believed that each item of forest has an eye to see in each one a god. Attempt has been made here to visualize man’s inclination towards nature worship and their concern about traditional customs and rites. The puja was continued up to 6pm. All the teaching and non-teaching staff attended the programme
