Tirap Cluster level Mandakini Memorial Kho- Kho Tournament was conducted in VKV Changlang   from 17th Sept to 19th Sept. 2025
17/10/25 was the reporting of the players with their escort teachers. 
 A beautiful environment for the game was created, which filled the players with great enthusiasm and excitement to play the tournament.  The tournament was played under the supervision of two PT teachers, Sri Rajendra Patil from VKV Kharsang and Sri Rontu Moni  Saikia from VKV Changlang, and as per the schedule given by VKVAPT.
In the opening ceremony, the chief guest was Sri Kumar Doka DSO Changlang, and some of our SSG members also attended. After lighting the lamp and the tournament torch by DSO  Changlang, Principal VKV Changlang, Smt. Priyanka Tiwari felicitated DSO sir and SSG members with a Gamcha and presented a token of love. To play fairly, the tournament  Oath was taken by all the players, and with this, a match was played between VKV Changlang and KGBV Barap.
Our residential  teachers assisted  the PT teachers in various capacities for the successful completion of the tournament, such as anchoring the event, timekeeping, scoring, management,  first aid, etc

In the closing ceremony, the guest was Sri N. Songthing, superintendent of APST AP.  Sir also offered his prayer to Swamiji by lighting the lamp. Principal VKV  Changlang.    Felicitated sir with Gamcha and a token of love. Sir gave a beautiful and motivating speech. Certificates and medals were given to the players for their participation. KGBV Barap was given the winner's trophy.

The one-day workshop for the Prachodaya Camp – Phase IV was conducted on 13th September, 2025, with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and teachers. The camp began with 3 Omkar Shanti Paath, creating a calm and spiritual atmosphere, followed by a welcome address by Smt. Durga Tripathi and a unifying geet by Smt. Mousumi Bhattacharya. The inaugural remarks by one of our alumni, Dr. Homtu Matcha from VKV, Jairampur, inspired the participants to embrace the purpose of the workshop. Under the guidance of Shri V. Balakrishnan, an intensive 45-minute Suryanamaskar abhyas session was held to promote physical fitness, focus, and discipline. The Khel session brought liveliness with engaging activities like the Potato Race conducted by Smt. Kingkinee Dutta and another group game led by Jyoti Rupa Das and Laxmi Gurung, which encouraged teamwork and joy. The heart of the camp, the Manthan session led by Shri Rakashashi Panda and Shri Abhishek Tiwari, provided a platform for students to think critically, discuss, and share their views, followed by group presentations and a summing-up of key points after a short break in between which helped the participants to refresh themselves as well as got some time to prepare for the presentation. The concluding Margadarshan by our principal Smt. Priyanka Tiwari, who provided valuable guidance and motivation, reinforced the learnings of the day. Towards the end, participants joined in 11 times Omkar chanting, followed by a short silence and self-reflection (Avalokan), which deepened the spirit of introspection. The camp concluded with the chanting of the Shanthi Mantra led by Smt. Mousumi Bhattacharya, leaving everyone inspired and enriched. Overall, the camp was a holistic experience that blended physical fitness, intellectual growth, spiritual reflection, and team spirit, fulfilling the true objective of Prachodaya.

On 11th September, Universal Brotherhood was celebrated in VKV Changlang with great enthusiasm and happiness. The programme was graced by Sri. Vishal Sah, DC Changlang, as Chief Guest, SP Changlang, Sri Kirli Padu as Guest of Honour and SSG member Sri. N. Changmi. 13 teachers, family members of staff, 278 parents and well-wishers, 258 students and 4 bhaiyas participated the programme.
The guests arrived at 10 a.m. They were welcomed with a Flower Bouquet, Aarti and Tilak in traditional dress by students. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp by the guests, and 3 Om Karas and  Sahanavawatu chanted by students.  
Class V students sang a welcome song.  
Then Principal VKV Changlang, Smt. Priyanka Tiwari delivered a Welcome Speech were everyone was welcomed beautifully. Guests were felicitated by the Principal with Gamusha and Statue of Swamiji and the Unveiling of Arohi by the guests.
Sri. Abhishek Tiwari spoke on the significance of the day highlighting the importance of Chicago Address. How it gave India to the world wide recognition.
 The cultural programme started with Durga Sthuti by Km. Nandini Sonar of class VII. It was followed by the Chicago Address presented by Kr.Joyson Youngja. After this an action rhymes was presented by class 1 and 2 girls. It was also followed by Hindi action dance by class 3 students. Then a  beautiful classical dance was presented by  four Class XI hosteller girls. Two local dance was presented by hosteller girls. 
A drama based on Swamiji’s Chicago address was played by students of class VII. Then the students of class  IV and V demonstrated Yoga Postures .
Both the guests appreciated the programme and students in their speech and advised them to be disciplined, obedience, and work very hard in their studies. D C sir is also our VKV Alumni so he recalled his student life in VKV Oyan and appreciated Joyson Youngja very much for his Chicago Address.

10th July 2025, Gurupurnima was celebrated at VKV Changlang,  in the Prayer  Hall. The celebration started at 10.15 with the arrival of the guests. The guest of the day was  Guruji and  Mataji of Rangfrah Temple, Changlang. Guruji lit the lamp, and the three Om Karas and Shanavawatu were sung by students.   233 students, 14  teachers, 10 SSG  and Sankul  Family members participated in the programme.
Anchoring of this programme was done by two students of IX   Km. Ashung Wangsa and Km Nisha  Debnath in  Traditional dress.  The programme began with a beautiful opening song by class IX students. Principal VKV Changlang Smt.Priyanka Tiwari gave a Welcome Speech to celebrate Gurupurnima. Principal Didi felicitated Guruji and Mataji and received their blessing.
Smt. Durga Tiwari gave a speech on the significance of the day. She talked in detail about why this day is very important and why we celebrate it. She also told two stories related to the topic.  Then, Class V  hosteller students presented Guru Vandanam in Sanskrit. It was followed by a Classical dance by Km. Milina Changmi of class VI. After this, a  Guru  Bhajan was presented by the Prayer Group girls.  After this, a Skit based on Guru and Shishya was also presented by the class five girls. A beautiful speech was presented on the said topic by Kr.Ayush Kumar of class VII. A Wancho Group dance was also presented by Class IX girls in their traditional dress.  
 Guru Ji performed the ritual of sprinkling Holy water and told the water is very precious and has the power of removing all ailing illness and negativity. At the end, Guruji gave a speech where he talked about  RANG and FRAH. And about some of their beliefs and rituals. At the end, teachers, SSG members, members of the Sankul family took the blessing of Guruji and Mataji, and Prashada was also distributed.

   The 11th International Day of Yoga was celebrated in VKV Changlang. In the Prayer Hall at 5.30 a.m. Honourable 52 South  MLA  Shri. Hamjong  Tangha, along with his wife,  D. C.  Shri Vishal Sha,  DMO Shri  Binod Ratan, along with his wife, CDPO Smt. W Khimhun,  Residential Teaching Staff of VKV and hostel students, and other officers of Changlang participated. The total participants was 155. The honourable MLA  inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. It was followed by 3 Om Karas and Sahanavawatu. DMO   gave a short speech about the importance of yoga in our lives. Then, DC, Changlang, also spoke about the significance of the day.  Class IX  girls presented a beautiful  Patriotic song in their traditional dress.  Sri Bala Krishnan was the instructor, and 7 students demonstrated the yoga poses.  In which Breathing exercise, Loosening exercise, Ashanas, Surya namaskar, and Savasana were there. Benefits and limitations of yoga asanas were given by Km Ashung Wangsa. Then Principal VKV  Smt. Priyanka  Changlang chanted the Shanti Mantra and explained its meanings. Then Vote of thanks was given by DRCHO, Changlang, Sri Jumnya Ado.
 A light refreshment was there for the guests.

For Day–Scholar students, the programme was also conducted in the Prayer Hall at 9.30 a.m.  This programme started with 3 Om Karas and Sahanavawatu. Hostellers also participated with them, 7 teachers also participated, the total participants was 167. Sri Raka Shashi Panda, sir, gave a beautiful speech on the significance of the day. Sri Bala Krishnan was the instructor, and 7 students demonstrated the yoga poses.  In which Breathing exercise , Loosening exercise  , Ashanas , Suryanamaskar, and Savaashana were there. Benefits and limitations of Yoga Ashanas were given by Km Ashung Wangsa. After the yoga, some students demonstrated  individually  the yoga poses that they learned from  the programme 

5th June, 2025, to observe this day.  Day scholars students brought plant saplings. Sri Bala Krishnan Sir spoke on the significance of the day. He highlighted its aim to promote global environmental awareness and action. The day encourages governments, businesses, communities, and individuals to come together and address pressing environmental issues such as Climate change, Biodiversity loss, Pollution( air, water, soil, plastic), Deforestation and desertification, unsustainable consumption, etc. Two hundred and sixty-five (265) students, Fourteen teaching staff (14), Three Bhaiyas (3), MLA Shri  Hamjong Tangha  Changlang South, and  (Medical Department) Dr. M Negmu with his team. Participated in this program. Students from classes I to V  participated in a drawing and painting competition based on the Theme –Our land, our future. Students of classes VI to IX  participated in campus cleaning and plantation under the supervision of class teachers. Students also prepared crafts from waste and submitted them to Smt. Laxmi Gurung didi. Honorable MLA Sir and Dr. M Negmu Tangha, with his team and Principal VKV Changlan, planted saplings in the school campus. 

The school celebrated Saraswati Puja on 2nd February 2025 in the school auditorium. Hostel students(44) along with school staff(12) and family members(8) attended the program. 
Students decorated the auditorium with flowers and rangolis. The program started with puja led by Shri. Ganesh Dhungana sir, Teacher. He explained the meaning and process of doing the puja. He said we can all perform or conduct the puja easily at home. All together chanted Saraswati prayers for invoking the Goddess followed by 'hawan' and 'aarti'. Bhajans were sung by the students and teachers. The principal of the school, Smt. Priyanka Tiwari didi gave the words of blessings and guided the students to read regularly and wholeheartedly. She also advised the students to use their time wisely. All the students took blessings from the Goddess and offered flowers one by one. Lastly, 'prasadam' was distributed to all.

The school celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti on 21st January 2025 on the school campus with great joy. 197 parents, 232 students, 10 well-wishers 7 VKV Alumni, and 14 Staff attended the program. The Chief guest of the program was Shri. Hamjong Tangha, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), 52-Changlang South, the special guest was Major Bhagesh Patil, 31st Assam Rifles. 
The program started with chanting prayers and lighting the lamp. The principal of the school, Smt. Priyanka Tiwari didi welcomed the attendees and appreciated their presence on the occasion. Dr. Homtu Matcha, VKV Alumnus, spoke about the importance of the day. He illustrated the life of Swamiji by narrating several life incidents like: "The cobra incident", "Ghost in the Tree',  "Face the Brutes", etc. He solicited everyone to read Swami Vivekananda's book and at least adapt a few learnings from his book.

The Chief Guest of the program Shri. Hamjong Tangha, MLA Changlang, appreciated  Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas for its outstanding work and service in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. He spoke about Swamiji's ideology of selfless service and the strength of youth. He acknowledged the drawbacks that Changlang is facing. He said that drugs and opium had destroyed the youth of Changlang. He addressed the parents to take care of their children and guide them to follow the right path. Lastly, he said that he is ready to offer any help in the issues and shortcomings of the school. The program ended with a vote of thanks and Shanti path.
