Raksha Bandhan was celebrated simultaneously with independence day celebration at the shergaon general ground by VKV shergaon on 15Aug. 2019. During the proceedings of the independence day programme in shergaon general ground, a speech was made by the principal sir, Shri “Satish Kumar”. On raksha bandhan, sutras were tied to the chief guest, other distinguished guest on the dais, students and teachers of VKV as well as other school of shergaon and the general public witnessing the event. Around six hundred (600) rakhis were tied.
