“Shri Krishna Janmastami” was celebrated with pomp and gaiety at VKV Shergaon on 24th August 2019. Along with the Principal, staff, their families and students, the member of the SSG, VKV Shergaon also took part in the celebration. The programme began with the chanting of “Ekya Mantra” followed by Puja And Arati by Honorable Principal. Shri Rajendra Kumar sir spoke on the importance of the day.

This was followed by Krishna Bhajan and Tableau competitions. The participants participated in a group from the four houses namely Dibang, Kameng, Lohit and Subansiri. Results of the competitions were announced during the programme itself. This was followed by “Ashirwad” from the Honorable Principal and introduction of SSG members to the students. A number of Shri Krishna Bhajans were sung in between the events by Shri Rajendra Kumar sir that added to the gaiety and festive mood of Janmastami. The programme comes to an end with the Chanting of “Shanti Mantra” and Prasad distribution.
