Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated today, 11th September 2019, in the school Prayer Hall in a befitting manner. The programme began with three Om kara with Ekya Mantra followed by a welcome address by Shri Anjan Purkayasta . Shri Asan kri , C O Shergaon Circle, who graced the occasion as chief guest was felicitated by the Principal Satish Kumar Sharma. Kumar Alok Sidisow of standard IX presented the historic Chicago Speech of Swamiji, this was followed by a welcome chorus song by the girls of secondary classes. Further in this programme the Principal spoke on the importance of the day. The Chief Guest, in his speech, emphasised on Swami Vivekananda’s massages of tolerance. The cultural programme began with an action song by small kids. Along with the folk traditional dance and semi-classical dance performances two skits depicting the incidents from Swamiji’s life were presented by the hostellers of the school. Around 360 invitees including parents, SSG members contributed to the success of the programme with their presence. The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks and the chanting of ‘Shanti Mantra’
