Orientation Programme for Class XI Humanities and Science 2019-20 was held at VKV Itanagar on 8th June 2019. Newly joined students and their parents attended the one hour programme. It was started with mangalacharan by the students of Class XI. 70 students and 85 parents attended the meet. At the very outset of meeting video of 'Gandhi Peace Award' was shown to all gathering & it's importance was conveyed by the Principal.
Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan, Principal of the school demonstrated the following points on PPT.
Importance of the regular attendance in class. Every student must have 90% attendance to appear in final examination.
Proper uniform is mandatory in class as per the norms given by School.
Parents must have the regular access of the activities done by their wards in school.


As per the Schedule set by the VKV Alumni Association for the Jila Sampaka Abhiyan, a six member team visited in the school on 1st August 2019 at 09:30 am. In this connection, the school has organised a simple programme in the Eknathaji Centenary Bhavan to welcome members of VKV Alumni Association, wherein all the students from class VI to XII were present. Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chaggan Principal formally welcomed the dignitaries and throw a light on the significance of the Samparka Abhiyan.
Shri. Jonkey Yangfo anchored the whole programme of interaction.
Shri. Giamde Tamin addressed the gathering in delightful manner where he recalled all the previous memories of the school and motivated the students to study well.
As a part of the programme, within a short span of time, they have organised a separate interactive session for the whole students as well as teaching staff. The team has sought suggestions and opinions from teacher to strengthen the activities of Alumni Association.

VKV Itanagar conducted a Parents Teachers Meet of Classes II, III & IV on 6th July 2019 at 02:30 pm at Eknathji Centenary Bhavan. 200 parents adjusted their time to attend the meeting. Meeting started with formal welcome address given by Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan, Principal VKV Itanagar.
The following points discussed on PPT by the Principal.

A three day National yoga Olympiad was inaugurated at the National council of education research and training in CIET in new Delhi by Mr. Eric Falt Director and UNESCO representative of the new Delhi cluster office for India, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
This was the 4th consecutive year of National Yoga Olympiad of NCERT and this year about 32 states and for regional institute was participated in the Olympiad.
It was a proud moment for Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas that our four boys and four girls along with two teachers from VKV Itanagar represented Arunachal Pradesh at secondary level in the National yoga Olympiad. The details of participants are as follows:-

Professor Hrushikesh Senapaty, director NCERT welcomed everybody cordially. In the welcome address Prof. Hrushikesh Senapati, congratulated the teachers and students who have come from district level to state level and finally to the National level to participated in National Yoga Olympiad 2019.

VKV Itanagar conducted a Parents Teachers Meet of Classes VI, VII & IX on 29th June 2019 at 02:30 pm at Eknathji Centenary Bhavan. 110 parents adjusted their time to attend the meeting. Meeting started with formal welcome address given by Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan Principal VKV Itanagar.

5th International Yoga Day celebrated at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Itanagar (in Eknathji Centenary Bhavan ) with great enthusiasm. Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan Principal inaugurated the programme by lightning the lamp. Km. Lobasnag Dolma (Class XII) delivered the speech on significance of yoga in very elegant manner. Shri. Dhanaji Tukaram Bhendavdekar PET demonstrated various yoga postures which helped students to learn the positive impacts of yogic postures and it's benefits. All the classes participated in yoga activities. The logo for International Day for Yoga was explained which stated –
Folding of both hands in the logo Symbolize Yoga, the union, which reflects the union of individual consciousness with that of universal consciousness, a perfect harmony between mind & body, man & nature; a holistic approach to health & well being.
The logo reflects harmony and peace for humanity, which is the essence of Yoga. Moreover theme of this year for Yoga day 'YOGA FOR THE HEART' was elaborated to all the students by Principal of the school.
The students performed yogic exercises and ‘pranayam’ to celebrate this day.
In addition to this celebration our NSS volunteers represented Arunachal Pradesh on national platform Yoga Olympiad at New Delhi
There they had displayed various yogic postures along with our two escort teachers.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Itanagar convened a parents meet for Class X & XII (Humanities /Science). Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chaggan Principal welcomed all the parents and well-wishers. 95 parents and 123 students attended the meeting.
