Report on Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on 23rd March 2021

A great initiative of organising a voluntary Blood Donation camp was held on 23rd March 2021 on the 90th Martyrs Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev organised by Arunachal Voluntary Blood Donors Organisation, SBTC, APSACS and IRC, Arunachal Pradesh in collaboration with National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists and BBTC, Govt of India at State Legislative Assembly, Banquet Hall, Itanagar.

The NSS Unit of VKCTE, Proudly took part in the camp. A team of 15 teacher trainees and 4 faculties (teaching staff) took part in the event. The event started with the National Anthem on the arrival of Honourable Governor followed by lighting of lamp. Dr. M. Lego, Director of Health Service welcomed with key note address which was followed by patriotic song sung by Miss MinamGoi (winner of Arunachal Idol, 2019).

Further, the event was followed by speech of Ramesh Jeke, founder chairman, AVBDO (ABYS), Shri AloLibang , Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Brigadier (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (retd.) Hon’ble Governor who enlightened the volunteers by their words.

The activity of blood donation was started by voluntary donors from different colleges and NSS unit donors joined the event. There was an overwhelming response from volunteer donors. Some of the donors who could not donate this time were assured for appreciation donation in the next camp. A certificate of appreciation donation card, refreshment was given to each donor as a token of gratitude.

A Blood Donation Camp was organised by Vivekananda Kendra College of Teacher Education, Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh on 28th March 2021, Sunday at college’s Multipurpose Hall by NSS Unit of the College.The programe was started with National Anthem with the B.Ed trainees and staff of VKCTE.

Professor V. N Sharma, Hon’ble VC of Arunodaya University, graced the programme as Chief Guest and Dr. A. K Mishra, State Liaison Officer, NSS Arunachal Pradesh as the Guest of Honour. They highlighted the importance of organising such programmes for the welfare of the society. Dr. Tashi Paleng, Blood Bank Officer of TRIHMS also spoke on the occasion.

Dr. Minakshi Goswami Sharma, Principal, VKCTE  in her speech mentioned about the relationship between NSS activities and true meaning of Education  .She also said that NSS activities are really important for our younger generation to work for the people and with the people.

After the completion of Inaugural meeting Blood Donation started at 11.30 am. VKCTE’s staff, trainees, Students of RGU and public voluntarily came forward to make the program successful. Donors were provided with certificates by Blood Bank, TRIHMS, Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh. 23 units of blood were collected in total and the program ended at 3 pm.

20th February 2021, Saturday, was an auspicious day for the staff and students of Vivekananda Kendra College of Teacher Education, Nirjuli and one ecstatic indeed. The college, VKCTE, had formally shifted to its newly constructed building on the day with holy prayers to Donyi Polo by local priests. ‘Donyi Polo’ denotes ‘Sun Moon’ and also refers to the indigenous religion of animistic and shamanic type of Tani and other Tibeto-Burman peoples of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam in North East India.

VKCTE was graced by the presence of All India Adhikaris of Vivekananda Kendra for the occasion including Mananeeya Balakrishnanji, President Vivekananda Kendra, and Mananeeya Nivedita Didi, Vice President Vivekananda Kendra. College hosted Education Officer of VKVAPT Papumpare District and Principal VKV, Nirjuli and it's staff. Puja ended with prasad vitaran."

VKCTE, Nirjuli Inaugurated

Vivekananda Kendra College Of Teacher Education at VKV-Complex, Nirjuli held the inaugural function today to mark the historical beginning of a new B.Ed college for the benefit of aspiring youth of Arunachal Pradesh. The B.Ed college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University and approved by National Council Of Teacher Education, Govt of India.

Dr. Joram Begi, Chief Information Commissioner, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh &Trustee of VKVAPT, was the Chief guest for the occasion.

Dr. Joram Begi, in his speech, said that Vivekananda Kendra of Arunachal Pradesh is committed to provide quality Teacher education in Arunachal Pradesh and starting of VKCTE in Nirjuli is only a beginning. Improving the quality of Education in the State is the pressing need and VKCTE would definitely contribute for the same.

Shri. Unnikrishnan, Education Officer of VKVAPT was also present on the occasion and he underlined the need for creating a base for future professionals in the field of education.

The formal classes of VKCTE would be starting on 26thJuly 2016 onwards. There would be an intake of 100 Students (2 batches) every year.
