VKV, Ziro has celebrated 74th Independence Day with lots of enthusiasm, pomp and gaiety with the national fervour. The Tricolour was unfurled at 7.00 AM in the school premises followed with a brief deliberation on the meaning of Freedom and One Nation by the Principal. The team of National Anthem along with Prize winners joined the celebrations by the District Administration at Dani Kuniya Government Higher Secondary School General Stadium, Hapoli for further participation in the District Head Quarter celebrations. There was National Anthem presented by the 5 teachers of VKV, Ziro by vocal while unfurling the Tiranga. After the Independence Day speech delivered by the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Minister Er. Tage Taki, Minister for Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, there were prize distributions and welfare scheme proceedings.
In the prize distribution ceremony, our students and teacher have also earned glories by winning three prizes. We have secured prizes in Open-to-all Competitions on “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” organized by the Superintendent of Police, APP, Lower Subansiri District, Ziro. They organized theme-based competitions on three different fields viz.

The colourful and controlled program was witnessed by the dignitaries viz. DC, SP, DFO, Directors of all Departments, etc., public leaders, HODs of all departments, personals from CRPF, APP, ITBP, BRO, etc., teaching fraternities of different schools, Gaon Buras and Gaon Buris of Ziro Plateau and members of all sections of communities, etc. with proper Social Distancing as per SOP of Government of Arunachal Pradesh. There is a hitch in our heart as there are no students with us. However, the awesome experience from the celebrations has given us the boost to more in the years to come.
