This year VKV Sher had celebrated Children’s Day with pomp and gaiety. Unlike the previous years, the celebration was attended by all the members in the campus. The teachers, students, non-teaching staff and the family members of everyone together celebrated the day.

The school assembly was conducted as usual. The entire programme of the day was conducted in the Volleyball field. The celebration was inaugurated by the Principal. He had elaborated the importance of WALONG DAY which coincides with Children’s Day. He accentuated the importance of Walong Day for Arunachal and also highlighted the sacrifice made by the brave soldiers of our country in the battle against China. The whole speech mainly focused on family values and sankar.

Followed by the inauguration was Mass Kendra Varg in which all the students, teachers and the family members attended. Sri.Raju Mishra, teacher told a beautiful story on moral upbringing of children. Sri.Vishnu.R, teacher taught them a new patriotic song. Sri. Raju Mishra, Sri.Sailendra Patowari, Sri.M.S Shastri, Sri.Balakrishnan and M.R.Lalu together conducted various Kendra games and yoga. Every child in the school had participated in the varg enthusiastically. The whole day went on with great patriotic flavor.

All the students including the day-scholars and the family members, teachers and other staff members had lunch together under the shady tree in the campus. The day had definitely left a lasting positive imprint in the minds of everyone.
