Guru Purnima Celebration at VKV Niausa
The auspicious day of Guru Purnima has been celebrated with great reverence, enthusiasm, and devotion at VKV Niausa. The programme started with three Omkaras, followed by Mangalacharan.
Sri. L. Jewang Wangsu, Secretary, Wancho Rangshom Wanlam Promotion Society cum Priest at Longding Rangshom Hum and Sri Senwang Wangsaji, HM GSS Longding cum Alumni, graced the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour. The welcome address was delivered by the Principal of the Vidyalaya. Afterwards, he felicitated today’s guests by presenting a token of appreciation to both.
Sri Nitai Bera, teacher of the Vidyalaya, explained the meaning of ‘Guru’ and their role in bringing progress in society while presenting the importance of the day. Kumar Noklam Manham, a student of Class VII, shared his view about the role guru, where he mentioned that the Guru is our inspiration and aspiration. After that, all the participants together chanted Omkara eleven times, followed by a Guru's Bhajan by the Prayer group.
We should avoid bad company and listen to the guiding words of our teacher to make our life a purposeful one, as said by the chief guest. Sri Sanwang Wangsa Ji, the guest of honour of the event, focused on the formation of Amrit Parivar. In conclusion, the vote of thanks was proposed to show gratitude to all. Thereafter after all the members of today’s event offered their floral tribute to Omkara, followed by the Shanti Mantra.
A total of 196 students, 13 Sankul members and 8 staff members were present in the programme. After the event, all participants took prasadam together and proceeded.
