We observed Kalpatru Day . Su. Indu Gurung gave speech on the significance of the day in  India 1st January is celebrated as Kalpatru Day , Kalpatru Diwas and kalpatru Utsav is an annual religious festival observed by monks of Ramakrishna Math. The event commemorates the day on 1st January 1886, when his followers believe that Ramakrishana revealed himself to be an Avatar,or God incarnate on the earth. The Kalpavriksha have been regarded as devine and spiritual tree in Indian history. Kalpavriksha is believed to be 1200 years old and called name of Kalpatru in mythology.

After that Smt.Maushmi Dey spoke about the Mathematics . the contribution of Srinivasa Ramanujan Aiyangar, the theory of numbers, continued fractions, mathematical analysis and infinite series. He learn at Trigonometry at the age of 12 years.  The legendary Mathematician lived for merely 32 years, within this short span of life he has contributed to the field of Mathematics
