VKV Balijan celebrated its National Youth Day with involvement of staff and students enthusiasm on the 12th of this month in the school premises during 10.00am to 12.10 pm. The day remained remarkable by the cultural concert of students and the address of Shri. Choudhary D. K. Roy, the manager of Dufflagarh Tea Garden,who graced the occasion as the chief Guest. The whole campus cleaned as well as pandal was prepared and decorated with multi-coloured papers ,flags, wall Magazine and Craft Exhibition made by students.
The program began with lighting the lamp accompanied by Mangalacharan. The Principal spoke a few words to welcome the manager and other guests. It was followed by Importance of the day from Km. Tok Yallam student of Class IX. There were eleven cultural Programs, but the hallmark of the function was the English Drama ‘Based on description’ presented by cl.IX students which made everyone to enjoy. The speech delivered by the chief guest was implausible to the celebration. He included following points :
- Swami Vivekananda’s ideology is the door for life
- Mentioned the goal of youth to uplift our county
- Advised parents to bring inner feelings of Swamijis essence in day to life and not to pressurize the student for study
- Appealed everyone for our culture and tradition and follow the life and messages of Swamiji
- Appreciated VKVs contribution for the development of Arunachal Pradesh and felt happy to be inviting as the chief guest.
- Asked all students to respect elder and teacher.
The chief guest was delightful to be associated with Swamiji’s idea as studied in R K Mission. He lastly congratulated the principal and the staff for their excellent work in Balijan.
All VIP’s of Balijan who are the well-wishers and the supporting group members of school were invited for program. The program concluded with vote of thanks followed by Santhi path. Near about 700 parents with students and all teaching and non-teaching staff with family members participated in the program. After the program, the result of cl-III to V was distributed to parents also discussed with the parents about their academic performance.
