On 2nd October 2016, the school formally welcomed the students from different school to this three days Camp. The total seven number of school participated in this Camp. They were – VKV Balijan – 14 students, Govt. Hr. Sec. School Balijan – 16 students, Govt. Middle School, Upper Tubung – 3 students, Govt. Middle School, Lankha – 13 students, Mahatma Gandhi Middle School, Dufflaghar – 33 students, Govt. Middle school, Bormai - 10 students & Govt. Middle School, Doriabill – 12 students. Total numbers of students were 101girls.
There was a prayer in the evening at 5:45p.m. to 06:15 p.m., which was guided by Sri Amitava Mandal Sir. After the prayer, there was a introduction of students & teacher and the house formation. The house names given after the names of the rivers – (i) Bhagirathi, (ii) Ganga, (iii) Gangotri, (iv) Alakananda, (v) Meghna. After the group formation, Principal Didi addressed the participants.
On 3rd October 2016 the day began with the morning prayer, which was guided by Sri A. Mandal sir. There was yoga for student, which was guided by Su. Jumpi Lona Didi and assists by Su. Mandi Limbu Didi and Su. Amken Didi. Some warm-up exercise, Pranayam, Surya Namaskar practiced in this Yoga – asana hour.
The inaugural function started with melodious Sibir Geet lead by Smt. Pushpalata Nagarale. The Chief Guest Sri Tachi Sarda, ASM, Upper Tarasso reached the school punctually at 9:00a.m. The function was attended by Head Master, Govt. Middle School, Bormai and Govt. Middle school, Tarasso and eight teachers from different schools. Principal Didi formally welcomed the Chief Guest, Head Master, teachers, and the participants. In her address, she said that this camp is especially for the students outside and nearby VKV Balijan. So that they would receive some moral values, gain some knowledge and bring positive attitude towards their life. Then Su.Dipshikha Biswas Didi briefly told the students about the importance of the “Personality Development Camp” (Sadgamaya Sibir). In his address, the honourable Chief Guest said that – students who participated in the camp were fortunate and definitely, they would learn something. He further added “Personality development is necessary in every ones life”. A person with a personality is always respected and it was very important in students’ life. He said that he was the Alumni of VKV Seijosa and shared feeling of his school days. He donated an amount of Rs.20,000/- (Twenty Thousand) for the sibir. Session 1 was started at 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and Sri Rajendra Prasad Yadav, teacher Govt. Mahatma Gandhi Middle school, dufflaghar took the session. He said to the students speak politely as our behavior must attracted by others. Session 2 was of drawing workshop, by Smt. Poppy Dutta Saikia. She had taught students about different line and landscapes and conducted Drawing Competition. Session 3 was group discussion leaded by Su. Dipshikha Didi and Su. Amken Didi. Group discussion on given topic by the students and the topics are – (i) Role of women in social development, (ii) Mobile/electronics/digital world for students. (Advantage and Disadvantage), (iii) Your role in Nation building. After the Lunch break Patriotic Song practice was there 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. lead by Smt. Bijoya Didi. From 3:00p.m. to 3:45 p.m. – Group Discussion Presentation by each group in the selected topic. From each house, three students came and presented on selected topic and from 3:45p.m. to 4:45p.m. Games was conducted by Su.Mandita Limbu, Smt. Poppy Dutta, Smt. Bindu Gogoi and Su.Dibyajyoti Borah. Some Kendra Games were taught to the students. In the evening Bhajan Sandyhya was guided by Sri A. Mandal Sir, after the story telling and LCD show was there. Sri Prabhakar Singh sir told moral story to the children and Sri Sanjit Bhadury sir shown some motivation documentaries to the students. After the dinner, student assembled in prayer hall for “Prena se Punoruthhan” during this hour some games were played and students showed their enthusiasm. The program was ended by Shanti Mantra.
On 4th October 2016 same routine was followed and the following session were conducted –
1st Session : By Sri P.M. Unnikrishnan Sir, E.O., VKV APT Topic – Life and Message of Swami Vevekananda.
2nd Session : By Dr. Kago Sambio, MBBS, M.O. C.H.C., Balijan Topic – Health & Hygiene.
3rd Session : By Su. Shikha Nag, Assistant Teacher (Craft) Topic – Craft
4th Session : By B. Nagarale, Teacher VKV, Balijan Topic – Life and Massage of Eknath Ji
Evening (After Prayer) : Quiz Competition and Dance and Patriotic song competition were conducted.
On 5th October after the Morning Prayer 1st session was taken by Sri Amitava Mandal Sir on Personality Development The valedictory function started at 11:00 a.m. the Chief Guest of the program was Sri Tob Tarin Tara, Principal Hr. Sec. School Balijan. appreciated the program and the selfless Service of VKV teachers for conducting such camps. The function was concluded by shanti Mantra. Participants had lunch and left by 12:30 p.m.
