
VKV Gaga has celebrated the 8th International Day of Yoga on 21st June at the general ground near ADC office.As the tradition the programme started with three omkaras followed by Aikya Mantra. A mass Yoga display was performed on the general ground with the help of ADC,Kurung Kumey circle, teachers and other staff members of VKV Gaga and nearby Nyapin villagers. The chief guest was Sri.Otam Jamoh, ADC, Kurung Kumey circle. During the address of chief guest he explained the importance of Yoga in our daily life. He added it increases flexibility, builds muscle strength and concentration. Importance of Yoga day told by Sri. Vijay Rai, teacher VKV Gaga. All participants enthusiastically performed warming exercises, Yogasanas, Breathing exercises, Pranayama and Meditation. Sri. Vijay Rai, teacher of VKV Gaga was yoga instructor. Total 68 members participated.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Sri Pema Khanduji visited Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Gaga on 27th February 2022. Sri Bamang Felix, Hon’ble Home Minister Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Tapir Gao, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Arunachal East., Sri Phurpha Tsering, Hon’ble MLA, Dirang, Sri Laisam Simai, Hon’ble MLA, Nampong, Shri Bengia Nighee, DC, KurungKumey, Shri Otem Jamoh, ADC Niyapin, SP of Kurung Kumey Dist., HODs, Panchayat leaders were also present during his maiden visit. All the guests were given warm welcome by band team at the welcome gate.
After invocation, Sri Pramod Kumar Gupta, Principal of the school offered his welcome speech. He highlighted briefly about the history of the school and also the grievances of the school. A welcome song was presented by the students. The honourable chief minister and other guests were felicitated by our students offering muffler, statue of Swami Vivekananda and Swamiji's photo.
Sri Bamang Felixji offered his speech and appreciated the students and the entire team of VKV Gaga for their hard work and dedication. He told that they would think about the infrastructure development and the upgradation of the school from Primary to Middle .
Sri Pema Khanduji, appreciated the efforts taken by the VKVs providing quality education in the entire Arunachal Pradesh and he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to VKVs. Regarding the grant-in aid, infrastructures, construction of hostel building and staff quarters he will sit together in a meeting with the VKV officials, Commissioner and education department to initiate the action. According to him, community participation must be there in a school for the betterment of the children. By seeing the approach road condition from main road to school and hostel he promised for black topping of the road which would be completed before the monsoon.
He also appreciated the efforts of the entire team taken for students and also appreciated the students by seeing their band display and cultural performance. He suggested the teachers to mould them for making them good citizen.
The students of our school presented traditional dance and patriotic hulla hoop dance which were highly appreciated by all the guests and public.
The meeting was ended with offering vote of thanks by Er. Tarak Sima.

VKV Gaga observed the Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti today. The students were called at 6 O'clock. The significance of the day was told by Su. Pompi Chanda. She highlighted the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. The children were divided into four groups and cleaning works were done in and around the school campus.
As Swacha abhiyan was done and advised the children to follow up neatness and cleanliness everywhere.
VKV Gaga celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day . Due to the pandemic of Covid-19 the students were not called to attend the programme. Swami Vivekananda's photo was decorated with flowers. Sri Pramod Kumar Gupta lighted the lamp. Sri Hemanta Gogoi highlighted the significance of the day. After that, the Chicago speech was delivered in Hindi by Sri Lok Nath Sarma. Duet patriotic song was sung by Smt. Omem Mize and Su. Pompi Chanda and Solo patriotic song was sung by Sri Anshuman Gogoi, Sri Hemanta Gogoi and Sri Lok Nath Sarma. The programme was ended with offering of flowers to Swamiji. Everything was done as per plan.
Swami Vivekananda, the holy monk presented India and Santana Dharma which is inclusive in approach in the World Parliament of Religion on 11th September 1893. He stressed that each religion is valid for its followers can bring the peace to the world.
VKV Gaga celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi on 10th September 2021. Lord Ganesha's idol was installed and positioned and decorated with flowers. Sri Anshuman Gogoi decorated beautifully the green board. The significance of the day was told by Smt. Omem Mize. Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated for three days with Ganesh bhajans and Aarati. In the fourth day, the celebration was ended with Mangal Aarati. Everything was as per the plan.
VKV Gaga observed Teachers Day on 5th September 2021. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's photo was decorated to pay honour to him. Smt. Omem Mize highlighted the significance of the day. Dr. Radhakrishsn was a great and ideal teacher. For his teachings and good principles, everybody pays great respect to him. The program was as per our plan
Shri Krishna Janamastami was celebrated today evening as per the plan. The photo of Radha Krishna was decorated with garland and flowers. The significance of the day was highlighted by Sri Lok Nath Sarma. The incidents of Shri Krishna were very interesting and adventurous. Lord Krishna is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is omnipotent and omniscient. We could not include the students in this program due to the pandemic of Covid-19. The program was as per our plan.

VKV Gaga celebrated Raksha Bandhan , The nearby students were invited to attend the program. Sri Anshuman Gogoi and Su. Pompi Chanda highlighted the significance of the day in English and Hindi. A small story related to Raksha Bandhan was also told by Sri Lok Nath Sarma. Su. Pompi Chanda and Smt. Omem Mize tied Rakhi to Swamiji.
VKV Gaga observed Mananeeya Eknathji Punyatithi . Due to covid-19 pandemic, we could not invite more students, parents and well wishers, only the nearby students from Gaga village were called to attend the program. The significance of the day was told by Smt. Omem Mize. All the staffs and students have given Sradhanjali to Mananeeya Eknathji by offering flowers. The program was as per plan.
