The Swami Vivekananda Janam Tithi was celebrated at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Mukto, on 21st 2025 of January with great enthusiasm and reverence. The event commenced with Mangalacharan by students, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Guest, Shri Rinchin Lama, a respected public leader, accompanied by Principal, VKV Mukto. A melodious welcome song along with a very welcome speech by Kr. Tashi Dawa of Class VII standard, set a warm welcome tone for the program.
The importance of the day was highlighted through a speech by Kr. Tashi Gombu of Class VII standard, who emphasized Swami Vivekananda’s role in inspiring youth and shaping a progressive society. Guest Shri Rinchin Lama, in his address, encouraged students to follow Swamiji’s teachings of self-confidence, discipline, and service to humanity.
Cultural performances, including vibrant Monpa dance, patriotic songs, patriotic dance, action song, drama based on the life incidents of Swamiji, added vibrancy to the event. The program concluded with prize distribution, a vote of thanks, and the chanting of the Shanti Mantra. The celebration was well-organized and served as a source of inspiration, reminding everyone of Swami Vivekananda’s lasting legacy.

VKV Mukto organized the ‘International Day of Yoga’ in two different places. One was organized at Jang Multipurpose Hall and the other one was organized at Mukto Club on 21^st June, 2022.

At both the places programme started at 7:00 am and it continued up to 9:00 am. The programmes were started with 3 Omkaras and followed by welcome speech and importance of the day. After that, yoga sessions were started. Demonstrations were done by Sri.Ayan Bhattacharya and Sri. Jayakumar.V along with four students by following all the Yoga Protocols at Mukto club and Jang Multipurpose Hall respectively. Instructions were given by Sri. Dipok Chetri and Sri. Rajkumar Sahani at two different places. Many people gathered and they actively participated in the yoga sessions. Near about 250 people assembled in the yoga sessions, including ADC Jang Sri.R.D Thungon and his staff members, BEO and other official members, teachers, students of Government Higher Secondary School of Jang and Government Secondary School Mukto, also with many local villagers at both the places. After that vote of thanks were delivered by Sri.R.D. Thungon, ADC Jang and Sri. Ambuj Kumar Thakur, principal of VKV Mukto at Jang Multipurpose Hall and Mukto club respectively. The programme concluded with Santi Mantra.
