VKV Koloriang has celebrated National Youth Day on 12th January 2019 to commemorate the 156th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, at the school premises. Various literary and cultural activities apart from March past and Band display were organized as a part of the program. Sri Santosh Kumar Rai, Deputy Commissioner, Kurung kumey was the Chief Guest of the program.

In his speech, DC highlighted the various thoughts and message of Swami Vivekananda to the people in general and the youth in particular. He remarks “Swami Vivekananda is not only the pillar of inspiration but the icon for entire youth and in particular the students”.  He motivated the students to inculcate the feeling of love, peace and brotherhood and also appealed to spread them among the people for the progress and prosperity of the society and the nation as a whole. He told two things which the students ought to learn in the school days – Discipline and setting of goal in life and also added that without discipline, a goal cannot be achieved.  The program was attended by the parents, Govt. officers, SMC members and many other dignitaries
