As per the guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), Government of India, Vigilance Awareness Week was observed by Subansiri Lower Hydro Electric Project of NHPC at Gerukamukh from 31.10.2016 – 05.11.2016, which is a nationwide programme in all the government corporate offices during this period of the annual calendar. In connection with the observation, the project conducted a variety of competitions for the students of the schools within its radius at the inter school level. Accordingly the students of our Vidyalaya also participated in the Elocution and Poster Making competitions on the topics “Moral Education during Childhood” and “Evils of Corruption” respectively under the specific age group.

The highlights of the observation from 31.10.2016 – 05.11.2016

  1. Sri.R.Murugan, the Principal of the Vidyalaya was invited to be one of the judges for the Poem Recitation Competition conducted for the employees of the project and their spouses and Debate Competition for the employees on 02.11.2016 and 03.11.2016 respectively. He was also felicitated during the valedictory function of the observation on 05.11.2016 among the hub of the officials of NHPC.
  2. The valedictory function commenced with National Anthem sung by the Class IV students of our Vidyalaya. The students presented two skits on the themes “Say No to Bribe” and “Discipline” in Hindi and English respectively. They also presented a patriotic group song (Jago Bandhu....) and impressed the gathering.
  3. All the winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs.1000, Rs.500 and Rs.300 by Sri. Rakesh, the Executive Director of the project, for the First, Second and Third Positions respectively.
