Awakened citizen program (Facilitators Development workshop) was organized by Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi on 10th and 11th Jan 2020 at South point school, Guwahati. From VKV,NEEPCO,Yazali Principal Shri.K.K.Subramanian and Teachers Shri.M.Kameshwaran, Smt.Dipshika Nath participated in this 2 Days Workshop. This 2-Days workshop was a tightly packed intensive and interactive session. On the first day of the program Foundations and purpose of this program were explained by Shri. Prasun Guha Biswas (Senior Resource Person). The Aim of this program is to teach good values to students by peer & personal learning method rather than traditional top-down learning method. In this program it was insisted to teachers that their role is that of “facilitator” rather than “teacher”. Remaining sessions of this workshop were handled by Resource persons Shri.Subhash Pareya, Kumari.Shatarupa Dutta , Kumari.Debalina Bhattacharya

(Vivekananda research Fellow) on Awakening the human possibilities in 3 levels. This program is a 3 years program where the teachers who got trained in this year will be asked to participate in the next level training in coming years. Teachers were trained how to conduct this Awakening Citizen program classes to the students. Two sets of Awakened citizen program kits were provided to each school consists of 16 Manuals and 2 CDs to conduct the classes in their respective schools. To conduct this classes schools were asked to allot a slot in school time table and to maintain a log or activity register to ensure that all the modules are completed. Some teachers and a few principals of other VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh also attended the programme
