The Eknathji Memorial Football Cluster Level Tournament – 2025 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and a spirit of healthy competition at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Roing, on 17th October 2025. Sri Shyamal Chakraborty, Principal, VKV Roing, warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, all participants, and escort teachers. In his address, he emphasized the true spirit and purpose of the tournament — fostering discipline, teamwork, and holistic development among students. The tournament pledge was also administered to mark the beginning of the event.
Officials from ITBP and other experts from the field were invited to serve as referees, ensuring fair and professional conduct of the matches.
Shri Pujom Buchi, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Roing (APPS), and an alumnus of VKV Kuporijo, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the tournament. In his inspiring address, he motivated the students to uphold the values of discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship both on and off the field. 
Tournament Schedule and Participants: 
The tournament was conducted over two days, from 17th to 18th October 2025, with the participation of four schools ( VKV Amliang, VKV Tezu, VKV Namsai and VKV Roing )comprising 56 students.
