
On 26th January 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Roing, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm. The program was based on the theme "Swarnim Bharat – Virasat Aur Vikas" and aimed to inspire pride and patriotism in everyone present.
The celebration started with a cheerful Prabhat Pheri from 5:45am which filled the school with energy and excitement. At 7:00 AM, students and staff gathered on the school ground. The National Flag was hoisted at 7:10 AM, followed by the National Anthem, which created a feeling of unity and pride.
The Principal Sri Prasanta Puzari, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech. He explained the importance of Republic Day as a time to remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the values of justice, equality, and liberty that our Constitution stands for. He encouraged students to take pride in India’s rich heritage and work towards a brighter future by combining tradition with progress. He motivated everyone to contribute to the nation in their own ways and always uphold the values of honesty, discipline, and responsibility.
• After the speech, the event continued with an impressive March Past led by Kr. Bolam Wangpang. The school band, led by Kr. Ahumu Umpo, performed beautifully and received a lot of applause. The same team also exhibited their performance on general ground in District Administration Programme.
• The cultural performances added color and excitement to the event. A patriotic song presented by Class IV students and hostellers, touched everyone’s hearts.
• This was followed by a lively group dance by students of Classes IV, VI, and VII, which celebrated India’s diversity and unity.
The program ended with a Vote of Thanks by Sri. Madan Krumar Sarkar who appreciated the efforts of all participants, teachers, and organizers. The Republic Day celebration at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Roing, was a memorable and inspiring event that filled everyone with pride and love for the nation.
The total 200 students and 31 teachers witnessed the programme.
