The Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya , Roing, celebrated the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda with great excitement and respect. Students, teachers, parents, and special guests attended the event in large numbers.
The program began with the Lighting of the Lamp by the Chief Guest, Sri Ringu Ngupok, S.P. LDV, symbolizing the spread of knowledge. 
The Mangalacharan was recited to seek blessings for the success of the event.Students of Class III performed a lively Welcome Song, filling the venue with joy. 
Principal Sri Prasanta Puzari extended a warm welcome to everyone, delivering an inspiring speech on the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and their relevance in modern times. The Chief Guest, along with other distinguished guests, including Sri Naba Jatan Pulu, was honored for his invaluable support and contributions. He also highlighted the notable achievements of Shri Jatan Pulu, which are summarized as follows:
•    Shri Jatan Pulu made outstanding contributions to education, cultural preservation, and community development.
•    He was awarded the Lt. Governor’s Commendation Certificate in 1971 and the Silver Medal by the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh in 1983.
•    He received the Scroll of Honour from RMP International World Council of Elders in 2000 and the Karmayogi Award from the International Association Lion’s Club in 2010.
•    His accolades include the Maselo Zinu Award from the Mega Reh Celebration Committee, Tezu in 2013, and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Central Reh Committee, Roing in 2015.
•    His unwavering dedication earned him the Arun Sewa Medal from Arunachal Vikas Parishad in 2017 and the Citizen’s Award from Sakar Sewa Samity in 2018.
•    In recognition of his lifelong service, he was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024 by the Mishmi Welfare Society.
Vice Principal Sri Madan Kumar Sarkar explained the Importance of the Day, sharing stories and lessons from Swami Vivekananda’s life that continue to inspire young people.
Performances by Students
•    Class I students performed energetic Hindi Action Rhymes.
•    Class II students presented cheerful English Action Rhymes.
•    Class III students gave a wonderful Traditional Show of India, celebrating the country’s diverse culture.
The Prize Proficiency Distribution Ceremony followed, where the Chief Guest awarded prizes to students for their achievements. Parents and children shared this happy moment, making the event more memorable.
The Chief Guest, Sri Ringu Ngupok, S.P. LDV, appreciated Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Roing, for its efforts in promoting Swami Vivekananda’s values. He highlighted the importance of discipline, sincerity, and punctuality for students’ success and encouraged them to follow Swami Vivekananda’s teachings. He emphasized that parents and teachers must work together to guide children and regularly monitor their progress for holistic development. He praised VKV’s significant role in education and value-based learning across Arunachal Pradesh, urging continued efforts to instill patriotism and good character in students. His inspiring words motivated everyone present. 
•    Other highlights included an Enactment of Freedom Fighters by Class II students, which stirred patriotic feelings, and a Yoga Demonstration by Class III students, showing the benefits of physical and mental balance as taught by Swami Vivekananda.
The event ended with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Sri Kishore Kumar Nath, followed by the Shanti Mantra, spreading peace and calmness.  "The Sankul Members of the school have also contributed their efforts to make the programme successful.   Thanks to the collaborative efforts of teachers and students, the event was a grand success, attended by 400 people, including 189 students, 180 parents, and 30 teachers."
