NSS unit of VKV Itanagar organised an orientation programme for newly enrolled students. The programme was conducted in online today
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mishra, NSS, State Liaison Officer was the Chief resource person. He spoke about the motto of NSS ‘Not me but you’’ wherein he highlighted the need of selfless service to others. He said that NSS was formed in 1969 on the centenary celebration of our father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. He explained about the regular activities like cleanliness drive, observation of various national and international days ie; Non-violence day, Independence Day, National Youth Day etc.
Kr. Udhyanso Krong, volunteer leader highlighted role of Nobel Prize winner like Malala. Km. Avika Mishra, Km. Tanisha Sen, Pragnya Wagmare, Tushmi Das Gupta also spoke on role of youth, forgotten heroes of North East India like Rani Guidinliu, Moje Riba etc.
Principal of the Vidyalaya Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan, NSS Programme Officer Sri Uthaman VN, senior teacher Dr. Shiva Prasad Mishra also spoke on the occasion.
