The 71st Republic Day was celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Itanagar with much enthusiasm. Principal Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan hoisted the flag at. 08:30 am and gave vibrant speech on sacrifice of our great freedom fighters and upcoming challenges for our youth to protect and preserve our national motives.

There was also presence of Regional Outreach Bureau Dept. Arunachal Pradesh with the theme of Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat (Swachha Bharat Abhiyan). The team of this department had cleanliness drive with students of Class XI Humanities in school campus and donated 4 dustbins for school to maintain the hygiene.

Moreover, we had also the presence of Shri Marcony Potom, Superintendent Engineer, UD & Housing and State Level Nodal Officer, SBM (Urban), Arunachal Pradesh as Chief Guest for cultural programme, students of our school presented house wise patriotic song and dance competitions to mark the significance of the day. Shri. Marcony Potom addressed the students and aware them to have strong determination for cleanliness in our surrounding and be healthy. The first prize winners of patriotic song and dance of Prahlad House were felicitated with the trophies by Dept. of Regional Outreach Bureau Arunachal Pradesh

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Itanagar girls troupe along with Sri Prakash Borah, PET. participated in 71th Republic Day parade at IG park Itanagar. The girls parade team gave impressive performed and secured First Prize. The group was felicitated by His Excellency Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. B.D. Mishra and appreciated the skill of our parade team
