Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Itanagar celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on11th Sept 2019 in Eknathji Centenary Hall. Altogether 250 parents, 450 students and all the staff of school attended the programme. Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan Principal formally welcomed and felicitated the Chief Guest Dr. Joram Begi (Vivekananda Kendra Prant Sanchalak, Arunachal Pradesh) Chief Information Commission Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh. There was also the presence of Shri Vasant Barve as Guest of Honour on this occasion.

Dr. Joram Begi addressed the august gathering of the audience and briefed about significance of the day. Moreover he emphasized the completion of 50 years of Rock Memorial of Swami Vivekananda and the different activities undertaken in all the Nation to mark this celebration like a Maha Sampark Abhiyan (Ek Bharat Vijayi Bharat). He also spoke about the historical Chicago Address of Swami Vivekananda which was pure call of Universal Brotherhood and universal acceptances in the year of 1893.

Km. Lobasnag Yankee the girl of Class X declaimed the Swamiji's Chicago Address and mesmerised the whole gathering.

As, part of celebration students of VKV Itanagar presented beautiful cultural events before well attended audience like a Traditional Group Dance, Classical Group Dance and patriotic song by primary students. Drama on life incidents of Swamiji. At the last of the programme Shri Pankaj Kumar expressed his vote of thanks. In this way fruitful programme concluded with shanti mantra. The overall programme was coordinated by Shri Rajiv Sonowal. The entire preparation of the programme was accomplished by Nachiketa house.
