Life Skills:- As the word describes, are the abilities required to effectively deal with demands and challenges of life.

Encouraging teachers to develop their own set of life skills and use them to prepare the youth to face the challenges effectively, an interactive day long workshop was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Dr. Sujata Choudhary (Ex. Principal of Hindustani KV) was the resource person of the day Around 9 teachers from different schools participated in the workshop at good Shepherd School, Naharlagun, on 8th August’ 2019.

The session began with group division and each group was asked to name the group and followed by group activity which helped participants to become aware of their own understanding about Life Skills.

Second session began with group activity in which Teaching Techniques were provided to us and we was asked to present merits and demerits of the techniques and the life skills that can be developed using these techniques.

Third session began with individual activity in which participants were asked to solve some problems given in handouts.

Fourth session began with Drama presented by participants in a group.

Closing session began with individual activity of question and answers.

The objective to be achieved, as per CBSE by conducting this workshop was to make teachers well equipped with Knowledge that can help them manage and deal with innumerable instances happening inside / outside the classrooms.
