On dated: 25th August 2018, the Raksha Bandhan celebration was organised separately for Primary & Higher secondary students in the school from 10:30 am. The programme is attended by 580 students and staff members of VKV-Itanagar. The progamme was started with 3 omkaras followed by Om Sahana Bhavatu.  All the students and staff  members are greeted by the Principal Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan , and conveyed his best wishes on the occasion. Shri S. K. Shukla & Shri. Patil Pankaj Balasaheb highlighted the historical significance and background of this holy festival to all.

In the front of Swamiji’s photo rakhi was offered by Shri. Pankaj Kumar and then it was followed by the tying of rakhees to Principal, staff and students by the Didis and girl students of the Vidyalaya. The programme was concluded with Shanti mantra followed by Sweets distribution.
Moreover on 27th August 2018 Sunday two teams were sent to celebrate Rakshabandhan at Rajbhavan & Chief Minister's Bungalow. His Excellency Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Dr. B. D Mishra gave blessings to the students and expressed his deep feeling for Rakshabandhan. Chief Minister Shri. Pema Khandu also greeted the students and celebrated Rakshabandhan with them.
