A specially designed programme called “Vivek Inspire Mentor’s Workshop” for selected VKV Teachers were inaugurated at Eknathji Centenary Hall VKV Itanagar at 08.00 AM on 17/08/2018. 21 teachers from various VKV’s of Arunachal Pradesh reported. Su. Mrinmayi Vaishampayan and Shri P.M. Unnikrishnan, Education Officer VKVAPT were the resource persons for 2days camp from 17th to 18th August 2018. Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan, Principal VKV Itanagar cordially welcomed one and all.

In this 2 days workshop various session were being conducted. The session started with address of  Shri P. M. Unnikrishnan. In his speech he asked about the activities the mentor’s have performed in their respective schools so far followed by an activity where the mentor’s discussed about what is Vivek Inspire, its objectives, what are the different activities conducted here, impacts on the students, the teachers as well as for the schools. Besides this, each teacher has to prepare a session plan for experiential learning followed by presentation.

Through the session of observation checklist, all the teacher mentor had to prepare the details of one of their student which the teacher had been knowing the student for a long time and make a observation checklist.

During the last session of 1st day, we were fortunate to have kind presence of  Mananeeya Balakrishnan ji, Vice President Vivekananda Kendra and Sri Rupesh Mathur, Joint Secretary VKVAPT. Mananeeya Balakrishnan ji gave us the word of inspiration. He advised that inspiration should comes from within, then only we can become a good teacher and a good person.

On the 2nd day; the day started with some inspirational game which helped each mentor’s participant to act very much within short time.

During the discussion of action plan for the session 2018-19, all the teachers told about their plan. Also there was the discussion on session report on parallel entry of the student with the existing one and about the selection procedure of the present class VI batch.

Besides this, there was a session in which we had to gone through some of the articles written by Arvind Gupta followed by discussion which helps us to appreciate the experiential   learning.

In the Valedictory function, Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan, Principal VKV Itanagar, was the chief guest. In his speech he appreciated all the mentors for their successful completion of the workshop. He also appreciated the resource persons, for the initiative and efforts which they have taken for the workshop. Finally it was concluded successfully by Shanti Mantra.
