Awareness rally –cum- Street Play presentation was organized in the area of Chandranagar (Itanagar) at 9.30am with presence of area councilor & nearby residents. The main motive of this rally to sensitize the people & spared the message of cleanliness. Availing the great opportunity of National Youth Day 100 students of VKV Itanagar along with teaching staff could sensitize the people & promote awareness about cleanliness. The street play & catchy slogans of the rally left remarkable impact on viewers.
Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was celebrated in Eknathji Centenary hall of VKV Itanagar with great zest and zeal. Various colourful programmes were unleashed on the occasion by the students like traditional dance, classical dance, skit & primary students also presented Hindi & English action songs etc. 500 gatherings including parents, well –wishers and school supporting group members witnessed the programme. Smt. Mitali Namchoom (IAS) Deputy Commissioner of Lower Dibang Valley as chief guest along with P.M. Unnikrishnan Education Officer VKVAPT, Shri. S C Dixit Principal of VKV Nirjuli graced the occasion.
Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan, Principal of VKV Itanagar addressed a warm welcome to one and all. Shri. Pankaj Kumar spoke about the significance of the day. Shri. P.M. Unnikrishnan (Education officer VKVAPT) in his short speech stressed on the greatness of Swami Vivekananda & culmination of Samartha Bharat Parva. The Chief Guest Smt. Mitali Namchoom in her speech nostalgically praised VKVs daily routine which she had experienced in her school days. She mainly emphasized on ‘Use of Library’. She advised the students to read story books, magazines as much as possible. She told reading can enhance your knowledge & make capable to face this competitive world. Shri. Vinod Tukaram Kothawade senior teacher proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme was anchored by Shri. Patil Pankaj B followed by Km. Tasso Siya’s anchoring for cultural programme.
