VKV Itanagar HSS Latest News

An Essay writing competition was conducted by Bureau of Outreach Communication, Regional Outreach Bureau, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, on the Theme – “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV” on 22/12/2021 in our School for Classes VI to XI. A total of 106 students took part in it.

(Classes VI to VIII- 36 students, Classes IX to XI - 70 students). The Department will award prizes to the winners on a particular occasion.

The Department is also going to hold Photo Exhibition in our school in a couple of days.

Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science and Technology (APSCS & T), Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh has organised Mathematics Day on 22^nd Dec’2021 at Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre, IG Park, Itanagar. This day is observed every year across the country to commemorate and honour the birth anniversary of famous Mathematician sir Srinivasa Ramanujan.

In this regards, the APRC&T has conducted various activities viz (Quiz, drawing etc.) and series of lectures by experts. In this competition 13 school have participated and VKV Itanagar has secured first position in all the categories-

                                  Junior Category  - 1^st Kr. Anish Sen, Cl-VIII

Drawing competition –  1^st Kr. Anurag Aryan Chetia, Cl- XI Sc.

All the winners were awarded with a certificate, memento and a cash prize of Rs. 2000/- each.

State Level Painting Competition on the Topic "Energy Conservation" was conducted on 04-11-2021 (Saturday) by NHPC at Itanagar.

 Km. Tanisha Das of Class VI secured First Position in the State Level painting competition from Group A category. She received cash Rs. 50,000/-, trophy and certificate.

Sri Sunil B. Dhawral ,Physical Education Teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Amliang reported Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Itanagar  on21-11-2021 at 12.05 pm. One the same day ,he identified and selected  19 students from Class-IV to VIII for pole Mallkhamb  with the help of  Dr.Kakade Rajendra Chhagan  Principal Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Itanagar .

 From 22/11/2021, he started his training for the students . There was two sessions of training for students daily .The timing for the training session was 6.00 am to 7.15 am and 3.00 pm to 4.45 pm .

 A  total number of 16 individual display elements were trained . The individual elements were 

 Salami, Simple jump , Monkey grip , Dronasan, Tabak phad ,Pashchimottasan , Sitting on the top ,Simple climbing,Straight leg climbing , Bane gurugi pakad ,Praudhasan ,Ek pad shirasan ,Ek pad pashchimottasan ,Bagal balance , Shoulder balance  and Padmasana .

 A total of 3 pyramid group display was taught . This display were Lotus balance, Double grip balance and Ladder balance .

 The training given to the students was intensive and very good . The students enjoyed learning Mallkhamb from Sunil Sir and showed great interest and enthusiasm. Our school was fortunate enough to receive the training. I on the  behalf of our school team thanks  Sunil sir  for his efficient training and VKVs APT  for  arranging the training programme . 

The District Level Science Seminar -2021 was organized by Deputy Director of School Education Itanagar Capital Complex on 28th November 2021 at Government Secondary School, G–Sector, Naharlagun (A.P.) on the topic “Boosting Immunity- the need of the hour: Prospect and Challenges”

Five schools participated in the competition. Km. Ananya Mishra of Class-VIII from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Itanagar secured 1st position in it .

She will be representing from the District at State Level Science Seminar competition which is going to be held on 20th December 2021 at Itanagar.

The programme will be arranged by the Principal, Govt. Higher Secondary School Arunodaya Itanagar .

The competition is guided and escorted by Shri Aurobindo Mohanty.

Boys and Girls for Secondary & Senior Secondary schools under Itanagar Capital region was held at Higher Secondary ground, Chimpu on 18-10-2021 to 21-10-2021.

One team from each category i.e; Boys and girls represented our school in the championship. Total number of participating teams were 6 from each category. In which VKV Itanagar girls team won the championship and will report for State Level Kho-Kho championship.

Sri Prakash Borah, PTE and Sri Dhanaji Bhendavadekar, PTE guided the players for the practice and escorted to the venue for participation.

The District Level National Children Science Congress (NCSC) competition was held at Government Secondary School, G-Sector, Naharlagun on 24-10-2021

Two students from our Vidyalaya participated on the :-

1. Focal them: - Science for Sustainable Living.
2. Sub theme: - Traditional knowledge system for sustainable living.
3. Project name: - Traditional knowledge system of coptis teeta for sustainable living.
4. Name of the participants:-
   1. Bengia Ama, Class IX C
   2. Imi Jini, Class IX C

The total numbers of participants in the District level NCSC were 10 in which VKV Itanagar, Chimpu secured 1^st position and will represent the state for State Level NCSC 2021.

Sri Manoj Shah, Biology teacher guided the students for preparation of the topic and escorted to the venue for participation.

The following topics discussed during the meet :

1. Reopening of the school in offline mode from 20 th September 2021 for primary classes I-V.

2. Alternative days classes for class I-V.

3. Timing of the regular classes.

4. Instructions to parents regarding students arrival and departure safety measures.

5. Provision of ID card for students of class I-V.

6. Online SOP's awareness for primary students.
