EVENT REPORT – Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre, Innovation Hub, Department of Science & Technology, Government of Arunachal Pradesh organised a robotic competition on “THE LEGO EV3
ROBOTIC COMPETITION-2021”. The competition was held for the students of class 8 – 12 from various schools at Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre, IG-Park, Itanagar on 20th February 2021. The mentor and trainer of the competition was Sri Subu Tarang, Innovation Hub Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre.
In the biggening total 30 students registered from our school to participate on the competition. In this regard hands on training program on robotics was held from 1st February to 13th February 2021 by Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre, Innovation Hub. At first all the students from various school were divided into 7 groups in that only 5 groups (Einstein group, Lego B.D group, and Steampunk group. And two others) are selected for final competition.
On 20th February there were two round competition:
THE FIRST ROUND – “OBJECT PLACING TRACK”: - In the first round we had to programme the robot in such a way that the robot should take one tree (made of blocks) and put in the red boxes, for lifting the tree has 5 points and putting has 10 points (total - 15 points) there were four boxes and 5 trees, but there is a rule that we have to put the trees in the different boxes, if we put the trees by the Lego robot in the same boxes there will be no points of putting down.
Each group had three chances in every rounds. In the first round (Object placing Track) the Steampunk group got 1st position (This group is of the members of science centre)
THE 2ND ROUND (FINAL) - "SUMO”: - Here the two groups have been selected as 1st and 2nd

CERTIFICATE OF AWARD: - In final round “SUMO” our school VKV VIVEK VIHAR got 1st and 2nd position. The competition mainly focused on Robotics. It was a great learning experience, as our students got an opportunity to get training, it would be very useful for their future. The workshop concluded with prize and certificates distribution and photo session.
