Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was celebrated on 12th January 2016 at Vivekananda Hall, R.K. Mission Hospital Compound, Itanagar at 10.00am with great pomp and glory.

Hon’ble Deputy Commissioner, Capital Complex, Sri Mige Kamki was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

About 100 parents and well-wishers and 300 students were present on the occasion.

The programme began with lighting the Lamp by the Chief Guest. It was followed by Felicitation of the Chief Guest by Principal, VKV Vivek Vihar, Sri Y. Pradeep sir. . He also welcomed all the Well-wishers, Parents and students on the occasion. Sri S.K. Shukla Sir, Hindi Teacher, spoke on the Significance of the Day.

Thereafter, Hon’ble Chief Guest gave away the Proficiency prizes to the students.

In his keynote address Hon’ble Chief Guest appreciated our endeavors by saying that in spite of limited resources and limited time, all students and  teachers have done very well. These types of activity provides a platform for students to show their innovation and creativity. He also appreciated the standard of the students. He also praised the teaching faculty for taking initiation in giving better  education to these children. Lastly he wished all success of this school in near future.

A lucid cultural programme comprising of Local Group Dance, Regional Group dance, Indian Classical Dance,  Patriotic Song and Drama based on Incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda were organized to entertain the august gathering.
