
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Longding, celebrated the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima with utmost devotion and enthusiasm on 10/07/25 with the active participation of the students and teachers of our Vidyalaya. The school initiated the program after the third period with three Omkaras, followed by Sahanavavatu and Shree Guru Strota by Su. Banjita Patir. Sri Samiran Barua, principal of the Vidyalaya, lit up the lamp and also welcomed one and all present in the program. The significance of the day was highlighted by Sri Nishi Kant Pathak, Hindi teacher of the Vidyalaya. He gave detailed information on Guru Veda Vyas. He chanted a few hymns and cleared the meaning. He also highlighted the importance of our Guru. The program served as a reminder that the guidance of a guru is like a lamp in the dark, leading us from ignorance to wisdom.
