VKV LONGDING has conducted the 8th International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2022. A mass Yoga display was performed on the school assembly hall with the help of students, teachers and other staff members of VKV, Longding. Firstly Chief guest planted sapling in the school campus. The programmed was started with three Omkaras followed by Ekya mantra. All the students sang the yoga geet together.

The programme inaugurated by Sri Wangtan Wangsu( Chief guest) , advocate, Longding.

Principal incharge Sri Samiran Barua gave the welcome address in the programme and also he told that regular practice of Yoga helps in curing various kinds of diseases and train our body & mind and also promote peace and harmony in the society.

Sri Wangtan Wangsu addressed the audience. He expressed his views about the benefits of yoga. It gives unity of mind and body, thought and action. It changes our life style and creates consciousness and concentration. It eradicates all kind of evil thoughts and cultivated peace of mind. It should be practiced in our daily life to keep us fit and fine.

Next, he gave way the medals and certificates of 3 ranks holders in previous year annual examination. There were around 122 students and parents took part in the yoga programme.  All participants enthusiastically performed warming exercise, Yogasana, Surya Namaskar, Breathing exercise, Pranayama and Meditation. All the Yoga session was conducted by following Yoga protocol set by AYUSH . Lastly , The programme was concluded with a Shanti mantra.
