Ekalavya Model Residential School (EMRS) Tirbin under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs is a scheme to impart quality education to ST children in remote areas in order to enable them to avail of opportunities in high and professional educational courses and get employment in various sectors. The schools focus not only on academic education but on the all-round development of the students.

EMRS Tirbin was established in the year 2023 near the Sodo Doke village about 22 KM from Basar, the district headquarters of Leparada district Arunachal Pradesh.

The first batch of 30 boys and 30 girls was started on 09-12-2023
