Universal Brotherhood Day Celebrated - VKV Vivek Vihar

Universal Brotherhood day was celebrated on 11th September 2020 at 9:30am in the school prayer hall. All the teaching and non-teaching staff with family attended the programme. Principal gave the welcome address. He highlighted the ideology of Vivekananda Kendra, a spiritually oriented Service Organization.

The significance of the day was delivered by Sri. M. R Ramesh Kumar, teacher of our Vidyalaya. Arrangements were made so that everybody could watch the google-meet programme of Universal Brotherhood day conducted by VKVVF from 10am to 11:30am .It was followed indigenous cultural programme by the staff children. The celebration concluded with Shanti mantra.




Amidst the pandemic situation & in the absence of students, the teachers community joined hands in the celebration of Ganesh Chathurthi in the school campus on 22nd August 2020. The celebration started with puja & its rituals conducted by Sri A.K Pandey. Bhajans were sung by Sri Ramesh Kumar & Kr. Harsh Pandey (student of Class X). Arathi ceremony was done by invoking the deity & seeking blessings. Also Mananyee Eknathji Ranade's samadhi diwas was observed by offering our shradhanjali to the holy & departed soul. Sri SNS Yadav spoke & gave a brief speech on this account. On the same day, the State Forest Research Institute, Itanagar headed by Dr. Neelam Yana organised a plantation drive for fostering greenery & eco-friendly environment. Many saplings of valuable species were planted in the school campus.       


VKV, Vivek Vihar celebrated 74th Independence day with unprecedented patriotic fervour on August 15th 2020. The gamut of celebration activities held on the school campus consist of hoisting of national flag, national anthem, patriotic song and speeches. anthem, speeches. In view of the Independence day celebration drawing and patriotic song competition for Class VI to X(audio or video with audio) was conducted through online.To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, to pay homage & gratitude to the brave young man who gave up their lives to liberate India from the thralldom, the tricolour flag was unfurled with singing of the national anthem. All the teaching & non-teaching staffs were present on the occasion. The Principal of the school addressed the gathering & did gave an impressive speech on the importance of the day. Sri A.K Pandey in the form of dialogue & song narrated the incident of the freedom movement struggle, the service & sacrifice rendered by the soldiers towards the nation. On this day the 148th birth anniversary of Aurobindo Ghose was also observed. Sri Roshan Gurung gave a brief speech on this account. It awakened everyone’s feelings towards our motherland by singing of a patriotic song “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon” by Km. Harsh Pandey (Student of Class X).
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Sri SN Yadav.

Krishna Janmashtami Celebration - VKV Vivek Vihar

Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated on 12/08/2020 at 9 o’clock in the morning at the school Prayer hall,VKV Vivek Vihar. Principal, teachers and non-teaching staffs participated in Puja and Aarti lead by Sri Ashok Kumar Mishra Sir. Sri Moolchand Sharma spoke on the significance of the day. Bhajans were lead by Sri Ramesh Sir, Sri Upendra Chaubey Sir and Sri Moolchand Sir.

In connection with the celebration, Two competitions were conducted for the students of primary classes.

1) Radha and Krishna Competition (Class 1)

2) Bhajan Competition

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

In India, Raksha Bandhan celebration is about strengthening the bond of love between brothers and sisters and fostering brotherhood. Likewise, in our school Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Vivek Vihar also celebrated Raksha Bandhan on 3rd August, 2020 in the morning at 9 A.M.

The programme started with mangalacharan and then the inaugural speech was delivered by our honorable Principal, Shri. M.V. Ravindran and along with speech on Raksha Bandhan and the significance of Sanskrit Divas was briefly given by Shri. Ashok Kumar Mishra and Shri. Moolchand Sharma respectively.

All the staff members as well as family members attended the program and all members tied Raksha Sutra to the Swamiji’s Statue and tied on the medicinal plants and trees surrounding in our school campus. The students wore traditional dresses and tied Rakhi and celebtrated Raksha bandhan in their houses. The auspicious program concluded with Kendra Parthana.
