Independence Day Celebrated - VKV Koloriang

VKV Koloriang has celebrated   Independence Day   on 15th August 2019 at the school ground. Flag hoisting was done at 7 am.

After flag hoisting at school, all the teachers and students went to General Ground, Koloring for attending the district level celebration. Our March Past and Band troops participated in the program. There were more than 10 Govt. Departmental Exhibition Stall in the General Ground in which our Vidyalaya also had arranged exhibition stall of various working models representing the Education Department, District Headquarter, Koloriang. Students of our vidyalaya secured prizes in various competitions. 1st prize in Exhibition stall; 2nd prize in March past; 1st and 3rd in 100 meters’ running race

Raksha Bandhan Celebrated - VKV Koloriang

VKV Koloriang has celebrated   Raksha Bandhan with great pomp and show on 15th August 2019 at the auditorium hall from 6 am to 7 am. Program started with three Omkaras  followed by aikya mantras.Sri Madan Kafle, Sanskrit teacher of the Vidyalaya told the significance of the celebration. He narrated the genesis of the celebration and told that celebration of Raksha Bandhan helps to strengthen the bond of brother-sister relationship, unity and fraternity and also spread the message of peace and tranquility in the society. All the students from class one to eight ( total 259 ) tied the rakhi in each other’s hands. Finally the program ended with shanti mantra

Parents Meet Conducted - VKV Koloriang

VKV Koloriang has conducted parents meeting for the students of classes VI to VIII on 20th July 2019 at prayer hall in a befitting manner.  The meeting started at 11 am with three omkaras followed by aikyamantras all together. Objectives of the meeting was told by Sri Bhim Prasad Upadhyay and also highlighted various achievements of the students in different fields like Science seminar, science congress, quiz, debate, painting, extempore speech competitions and NMMS examination. There were group discussions among the parents on various topics like role of parents in the development of the students and their duties towards their wards followed by presentation of the points discussed. Some of the points presented by the parents were:

  • Expectation of the parents of good academic result, learning of discipline and good moral values by their wards.
  • Remedial classes for the students.
  • Duties of the parents in monitoring their wards in the morning and evening hour– sitting for study, use of electronic gadgets, friend circles etc.
  • Demand for a vehicle facilities for the students who are coming from faraway places like Malapore and Old Bazaar line.

The meeting was attended by 86 parents out of 105, all the teachers, SMC members and well wishers. Deputy Commissioner Sri Santosh Kumar Rai was also present as a parent from beginning till the end of the program for about two hours. SMC member Sri Chello Nyaw highlighted various problems of the school like water scarcity, entry of cattle in the campus and disturbance from outsiders due to lack of boundary wall before the Deputy Commissioner. Finally the program ended with shanti mantra together.

Jal Shakti Abhiyan Awareness Program - VKV Koloriang

VKV Koloriang has organized a mass awareness program as a part of the JAL SHAKTI ABHIYAN on 15th July 2019 in a befitting manner. There was a procession from the VKV main gate to Old Bazar line near the general ground with slogans related to water and its conservation. Nukkad Natak was performed in the heart of the Koloriang town on the theme “Jal Hai to Kal Hai” in which large number of public witnessed the program. Apart from an awareness rally, there were seminar presentation, debate, poem recitation and painting competitions on water conservation. Students from classes VI to VIII participated in the programs.

Van Mahotsav Celebrated - VKV Koloriang

70th Van Mahotsav is being celebrated on 06th July 2019 at VKV Koloriang to create awareness about forest and wildlife resources. All the important dignitaries of Kurung Kumey district including DC, DFO and DDSE were present on the occasion. As a part of the celebration, apart from plantation of about 300 plant saplings in the school campus, there were various literary activities such as essay writing, Drawing and Extempore speech competitions on the topics ‘Environmental degradation’ and ‘Global warming’ in which all the students took part actively. In his address, Deputy Commissioner Sri Santosh Kumar Rai highlighted various points on the importance of forest and wildlife resources and encouraged the students to love plants and animals. Sri Gyamar Nima, DFO Kurung kumey Division briefed the students on the need for protection and preservation of rich flora and fauna of the state.
