Universal Brotherhood Day - VKV Kharsang

Vivekanada Kendra Vidyalaya-Kharsang celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on 11th September’2018 at Govt. Primary School,New Khimyang Village. The objective of observation of Universal Brotherhood Day outside the school premise was to inculcate the ideals of Swami Vivekananda among the villagers and making them aware of man making and nation building mission of our Kendra. It was praise worthy that the villagers of New Khimyang have shown their high interest to organize this programme.

The programme was initiated  with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest Sri M.Tali, Divisional Forest Range Officer, Namphai-I, along with Guru Bandana recited by the students of Govt Primary School, New Khimyang.

Sri Rebo Rekhung Ex-ASM of New Khimyang welcomed the august gathering and highlighted Swami Vivekananda as Cultural Ambassador of India.

The Chicago speech was presented by Class-VI student Km. Wangbom D Lowang ,which thrilled the gathering.

Alumni of VKV and HM, I/C of Govt. Primary School,New Khimyang Sri Songlang Shongkho  highlighted importance of the day . He has also translated his speech to the local dialect also for better or easy understanding of local gatherings.

Sri T. Mali, Chief Guest delivered a brief magnetic speech by highlighting the necessity of such observations and appeals all the people to contribute towards brotherhood so that the whole nation will march forward in peace.

Sri Shyamal Chakraborty, Principal of VKV-Kharsang in his speech stressed on the importance of Chicago Speech and how it brought a dramatic change in freedom movement of our country. He also explained the history of VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh.

The rich cultural heritage of Arunachal is presented with colorful Traditional dances of Munglong, Mossang, Nishi, Galo and Adi communities by the students of VKV-Kharsang, Govt. Sec. School, Namphai and GPS-New Khimyang.

The students of VKV-Kharsang, Class-II & III performed an action song and

Class-VIII performed a skit from the life of Swami Vivekananda.
