Vanmahotsava Celebration

Vanmahotsava was celebrated in collaboration with the Forest Division, Aalo on 7th of July in the school. The programme started at 9.00 am ,with planting of saplings  by the Forest Department dignitaries like Sri. Ranphoa   Nowa (IFS) , Sri. Abhinav Kumar ( DFO, Aalo) and Ms. Martha ( ACF) . Two hundred saplings were provided by the Forest Department, Aalo to plant in the school campus. A small programme was organized in the prayer hall. Smt. Rama didi, well-wisher of  VKV APT,  and Su. Priyanka didi ( VKV Arunjyoti) were also present there. It started with the lighting of the lamp by Guest of Honour  Sri. Abhinav Kumar. Welcoming of the Guests was done by Su. Namita Medhi. Followed by felicitation of the Guests by Principal, VKV Jirdin. A small cultural programme was also organized. Class X batch presented a patriotic song “ Bhubana mandale nava yug mudhayatu……..”. Significance of the Day was done by a student of class VII. A Sanskrit patriotic group song by class VI and more light was thrown on the importance of the Forest Festival by a student of class X.

Principal, VKV Jirdin enlighted the students on the role of trees in our life by relating a few lines from Vande mataram song…  He said if we didn’t care for trees it won’t affect an individual only but its effect will be on all. So, we should keep this in mind and take care of the trees for a healthy environment.

Sri. Ranphoa Nowa  recollected his school days in VKV and quoted a few lines of the patriotic song “ Desh hume deta hai sabh kuch…. Highlighting mainly the lines “ Pedh hume deti hai saya, humko bhi toh kuch dena shikhe…” Very beautifully he conveyed the message that we too have some responsibilities towards trees so that coming generation enjoys the fruit of our present noble task of planting trees.

Sri. Abhinav Kumar informed students about the UPSC exams and Civil Services like IAS, IPS and IFS. He motivated and inspired the children to opt for such services and to work on it from the present time. Besides he made the children realize the fact that they are fortunate that they belonged from Bio hotspot region like Arunachal Pradesh where forest areas are more compared to other states. He appreciated the speeches delivered by the students and also appealed to the students to practice it in deed not only in words. He said it is time for all of us to act like saving trees from cutting down, planting trees and taking care of it.

Ms. Martha gave the vote of thanks and expressed her gratitude towards our school and also the students for making the programme a successful one. Forest Department also offered sweets to all the students and staffs. The programme was concluded with Shanti mantra.

Matri Puja at VKV Jirdin

Matri Puja was conducted on 17th Feb’2017 at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Jirdin.  Sh. Krishna Kumar, a member from VKV APT and Sh. Ajaya Kumar, Siang Cluster Incharge grace the occasion with their presence. The Principal welcomed Kendra elders,  all the parents , & students for the programme. Shri. Krishna Kumar performed the puja in true spirit.

In addition to these, he highlighted the importance of mother in the life of a child. Mother being the embodiment of sacrifice has the highest place in everybody’s life. A good mother is the first teacher of the child in the family. She builds the foundation of a healthy society.

Parents, guardians and well wishers of 39(Thirty Nine) students of Class- X attended the ritual in the presence of Principal, V.K.V. Jirdin and all the teachers. All the children performed puja and offer their prayers to their parents and took blessings to perform well in the final examination.

All the parents, guardians and well wishers appreciated the ritual. They were very happy to be the part of the programme. They were impressed by the moral values imbibed in their children. Children expressed their love, care and respect for their parents. The progamme end up with shanti mantra.

Students participated in all the above competitions with full enthusiasm. Parents also visited the book display and had a look over the library books. Teachers along with the Students too enjoyed reading so many different books.
On the last day of the week, a short program was organized where the guest speaker was Shri. Emi Ango, Vice Principal of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Aalo. In his speech he emphasized the value of reading books. He also mentioned that books are the great source of knowledge and asked the students to maintain the habit of reading throughout their life. He also gave very interesting quotes and shared his incidence from his student life and carrier.

Inauguration of Computer Laboratory at VKV Jirdin on 1st Oct’2016

A new computer laboratory was inaugurated on 01.10.2016. Smt. C. Lollen, Block Education Officer, Aalo East, West Siang graced the occasion with her presence as the guest for the programme. The inauguration took place in the presence of Principal VKV Jirdin, Teaching faculty and students. A small programme was organised in the Prayer Hall.

Smt. C. Lollen spoke on the significance of girls’ education. She cited many examples of achievements achieved by the women from the glorious past to present day.  Her  words of wisdom motivated not only the students but the teaching staff also. She was very happy to be the part of the programme. Further she wished for the success of the students and growth of the school.

Young Arunachalee scientists shine at Taiwan International Science Fair

ITANAGAR, Feb 07: Four girl students from Arunachal have secured the 3rd position at the Taiwan International Science Fair, which was held from Jan 24-29 at Taipei.
VKV Nirjuli students Lishank Tasar (Class VII) and Tadar Parte (Class VIII), presented a “Study on Traditional House Architecture in Itanagar Capital Complex and to improve climatic responsive contemporary house” while VKV Jirdin Aalo students, Toyir Kamgo and Zarnie Lollen, (both class VIII students), made their presentation on “Impact of firewood collection on weather & Climate of Jirdin village, Aalo”.
The four were awarded medal, citations and cash prize of 3200 dollars.
153 projects were presented in the event which saw the participation of 513 young scientists from 22 countries.
The selection process was a tedious one with scrutiny of projects at districts and then at the state Level by State Council for Science and Technology, Department of Science and Technology and finally at National Children Science Congress held at Bangalore and Chandigarh, sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The students were under the guidance of Director cum Member Secretary State Council for Science and Technology, Department of Science and Technology, Er.Tanya Ronya and State Coordinator, Children Science Congress Dr Debojit Mahanta.
Ronya has congratulated the students for the stupendous performance and thanked Chief Secretary Ramesh Negi for his interest in the innovation and Science activities relevant to the need of the state.
