This school, started in 1977, is the first among the VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh. It is situated in a remote village Sher, 10 Kms away from Kimin in Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh. This district is surrounded by Kurung Kumey district in the North, Assam in South and East, and East Kameng district in the West. The inhabitants of the district are mainly Nyishis and since the district houses the capital of the state, it has considerable number of people from other communities as permanent residents. It is a Boys’ residential school. This school is up to Secondary Level.
