Vkv nirjuli started in the year 2002 was the first of experiment of Vivekananda Kendra to start a school by admitting children from KG to class X. the challenge was boldly faced and it proved a great success. The school is located in Nirjuli village,17 Kilometers away from Itanagar, the State's capital.

The growth of the school was excellent and today it has strength of 720 students on its roll. The School has hostel facility for Girls only. With in the span of 5 years the school has shown excellent progress in all fields of school activities. It has shown its academic excellence by securing 100% pass including toppers in the state. Whether it is quiz, Gita chanting, Painting or cultural Competition it has brought laurels in all these. Its Girls Band team is regarded among the best in the State. The growth of the school is stagnated due to inadequate and improper infrastructure.

Honoring the existing and prospective parents request and their aspirations the Trustees has consented to shift the school to a new sight in the Nirjuli village itself. For this purpose a piece of land has been procured. Shifting and continuing the School at the new site calls for development of the entire Infrastructure such as School block containing Class rooms, Laboratory, Library, Dormitories, Staff quarters, kitchen dining hall etc. the total expenditure is expected to be around 5 crores.
