Vivekananda Kendra, a spiritually oriented Service Mission, is a Voluntary organisation, in service of humanity on the ideals of Swami Vivekananda through Man-making and Nation-Building projects in the fields of Education, Culture and Sustainable Development, and over 250 branch centres located across India.

Vivekananda Kendra runs 34 CBSE-affiliated English medium schools, under one of its Education projects, “Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas Arunachal Pradesh Trust” (VKVAPT), in the north-eastern Himalayan state of Arunachal Pradesh. These schools are known as “Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas” (VKV), and have their presence in 13 out of 16 districts of the state. Many of these have residential hostel-facilities for boys and girls separately. Some of the schools are up to Higher Secondary level. Government of Arunachal Pradesh provides grant-in-aid to run them. VKVs have been recognised by the people of Arunachal Pradesh as one of the most reputed and sought-after educational institutions of the state, providing Quality-education to the masses.

VKVAPT invites application for the post of residential teachers in the VKVs of Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from perquisite educational qualifications, the organisation seeks in the candidates a zeal for social service and serving the motherland India in its north-eastern Himalayan corner. VKVs provide ample scope of Professional as well as Personal Development for its teachers.

Salary details:

· Teachers in their first one year of service are paid a consolidated salary per month as per following criteriaà

o Graduate in any school-subject: Rs.7,000/- p.m.

o Graduate with B.Ed in any school-subject: Rs.7,500/- p.m.

o PG in any school-subject: Rs.8,000/- p.m.

o PG with B.Ed in any school-subject: Rs.1,0000/- p.m.

· Additionally, all new teachers are required to attend a compulsory 25-day Teachers Training Camp at our HQ in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu

· Residential teachers are provided Bachelor-accommodation, free of cost, in teachers’ quarters located within the school campus. Fooding at nominal charges from the school-mess.

· After the successful completion of one of service along with successfully attending the said camp, the teachers are absorbed in the set-up on permanent basis regular service with salary-structure applicable as per the norms of Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Regular teachers also enjoy the Life-long Social Security benefits like Employees Provident Fund (EPF) & Gratuity.
